** COVID-19 advice for Healthcare Professionals: **

Dental Foundation Training is the first phase of continuing postgraduate education after graduation and is recognised as a part of career pathways in all sections of the dental profession. Progressive changes are in place to integrate these programmes into formal dental foundation programmes.

The Dental Postgraduate section currently offers opportunities to complete one year of Dental Foundation Training (DFT). This equates to one year of vocational training working in general dental services (GDS) /Community Dental Service (CDS) in an approved training practice, with one day a week allocated to educational study. Further information regarding each scheme is available on this site.
