Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) are proud to be sponsoring an award at this year’s Healthcare People Management Association (HPMA) UK awards.

The HEIW Award for Smarter Working aims to showcase projects, programmes or initiatives that demonstrate how workforce teams have worked ‘smarter’ to save money whilst still improving quality, safety and patient care.

This will be HEIW’s third year as a sponsor for these prestigious awards which recognise and celebrate the work of human resource, organisational development and workforce professionals across the UK.

Julie Rogers Alongside sponsoring an award, HEIW’s Deputy CEO and Director of Workforce & OD, Julie Rogers, will also be taking part as both a judge and a speaker at the ceremony.

Announcing HEIW’s sponsorship, she said, “As an organisation whose mission is transforming the healthcare workforce, we know how important smart working practices are.

“COVID-19 has required us all to think outside of the box and create new, innovative and efficient ways of working.

“I look forward to seeing the imaginative ways in which teams across the UK have risen to this challenge.”

Submissions for entries are now open and will close on Tuesday 25 May 2021. Winners will be announced at the virtual awards ceremony due to take place on 7 October 2021.
