Digital learning

Aligned to the HEIW digital and data strategy, our team of digital learning specialists works closely with leading subject matter experts to develop and host innovative, accessible digital learning to support Continuing Professional Development (CPD) across the health and social care workforce. Education is engaging, through being divided into bite-size chunks, and featuring animation and interactive content, including scenario-based learning.

In collaboration with the HEIW Data and Simulation teams, the Digital Learning team is exploring how the use of emerging and immersive technologies including AI (Artificial Intelligence) and VR (Virtual Reality) can support delivery of effective education and training at scale. 

Our learning management system also hosts HEIW’s Digital Capability Framework, a self-evaluation tool so individuals can better understand their digital skills, competencies and behaviours. Answers generate a personalised report which can be used to demonstrate CPD, whilst the recommended resources can help plan how to improve digital capability and confidence going forward.
