Key education and placement providers continue to pledge their commitment to healthcare students

PACT is a document that supports healthcare student’s safe entry into practice learning environments.

Originally launched during pandemic conditions, it contains a set of pledges from organisations involved with supporting students to alleviate student concerns about practice learning.

PACT stands for Partnership, Accountability, Credibility and Trust. This updated version has been produced following wide-ranging stakeholder engagement and co-production. Some of the new additions in the version include:

  • more pledges
  • digital format to ensure everyone can access it
  • video content
  • introduction from HEIW’s Chief Executive, Alex Howells
  • recorded messages from the Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Allied Health Professions Advisor and Deputy Chief Scientific Advisor within Welsh Government
  • a focus on healthcare students and trainees across all programmes.
