Valuable nursing career event from Health Education and Improvement Wales

Published: 26/3/24

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) had the pleasure of hosting an online event centred around careers in nursing.

The event last month was aimed at those who are in two minds about a career in nursing. It addressed concerns any prospective students may have about matters such as costs and fitting studying and placements around home life.

The event featured 2 panels of those in the know, including nurses, university lecturers, student nurses, and Wales’s Chief Nursing Officer, Sue Tranka.

It covered the types of nursing courses available in Wales, what it’s like to be a nurse, what the courses are like, and the application process.

If you missed the event, you can still view the Nursing Career Event Recording..

You can also find useful information and resources on Get into nursing - HEIW (nhs.wales), and the Careersville nursing building (heiw.wales).
