Applications are invited for a 3-year Specialty Training post in Paediatric Dentistry with Cardiff & Vale University Health Board (UHB) based between the University Dental Hospital Cardiff and South Wales community dental clinics.
This post is suitable for trainees who wish to enter a training programme leading to the award of a Certificate of Completion in Specialty Training (CCST) in this specialty. This post has the approval of the Postgraduate Dental Dean for Wales.
Progress in the programme will be subject to satisfactory annual review. The normal duration of training will be as determined by the GDC’s curriculum for the specialty. Eligibility for the recommendation by the Postgraduate Dental Dean for Wales of the award of a CCST, by the GDC, will be subject to completion of the training requirements of the Deanery.
Appointees will be expected to make appropriate arrangements to travel to attend Community Clinics in South Wales.

Applications are invited for three Specialty Training posts in Orthodontics within South Wales. The posts are based with the orthodontic units at the University Dental Hospital (Cardiff), Princes Charles Hospital (Merthyr Tydfil) and Morriston Hospital (Swansea). The details of each individual posts are attached below.
All are advertised as ST1-5 run through posts. The ST1-3 stages of training are suitable for trainees who wish to enter a training programme leading to the award of a Certificate of Completion in Specialty Training (CCST) in this specialty. The ST4-5 stages of training are suitable for trainees who wish to hold an Orthodontic Consultant position.
These posts have the approval of the Postgraduate Dental Dean for Wales.

This post is suitable for trainees who will have gained a CCST or are within three months of obtaining their certificate and can proceed directly onto a fixed term appointment for two years.

Successful completion of the training programme will culminate in satisfactory completion of the ISFE examination.
