These vacancies are open to consultants who are currently working for the NHS in Wales on a permanent contract within specialty. Candidates must have experience of teaching in higher education. The vacancies are sessional arrangements (allowance varies across specialties and is specified in the job description). If you’re successful, you will need to discuss the time commitment in your job plan with your Clinical Director.

Training Programme Director for Dermatology, North Wales

HEIW is inviting applications for a Training Programme Director for Dermatology to join the team and work closely with the Postgraduate Medical Dean, the Head of Specialty School and the Specialty Training Support team to play an important role in the direction of training programmes across Wales for Dermatology trainees.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Dermatology Consultant with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of training across the region and who also has strong leadership and communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.

The post will be offered for 3 years in the first instance, subject to satisfactory annual appraisal, with the option of applying to extend the role, if mutually agreed.
