The Welsh Ambulance Service Trust’s (WAST) varied and modern services are tailor-made for each community’s differing environmental and medical needs.
The ambulance service in Wales is spread over an area of 20,640 kilometres encompassing diverse areas such as: tranquil rural retreats, busy seaside resorts and large urban conurbations.
WAST operates from 90 ambulance stations, three control centres, three regional offices and five vehicle workshops which maintain cycles, fast response cars, frontline ambulances and helicopters.
They also have a National Training College to ensure their staff remain at the top of their game and receive regular professional development.
