Dental core training years 2 and 3

Dental Core Training offers the opportunity to broaden knowledge and experience within the dental profession and is a recognised career pathway after the completion of Dental Foundation Training (DFT).

There are a wide variety of DCT2 and DCT3 posts across Wales.  The posts are in the Dental Hospital in Cardiff and in hospitals and community settings across Wales. 

In Wales, the DCT2 and DCT3 posts allow the trainees to work as part of a team and to train in a supportive environment with experienced and motivated Clinical and Educational Supervisors.  The Training Programme Directors for the DCT2/3 scheme will ensure that the trainees maximise their learning opportunities and achievements mapped to their Personal Development Plans throughout the training year.
