The Medical and Dental Education Centre is situated within the Academic Building of Llandough Hospital which is situated approximately four miles from Cardiff City centre. The centre has excellent facilities, including dental units for hands-on training, fully equipped lecture and seminar rooms, IT facilities and library. There are coffee-shop and restaurant facilities within the main hospital complex.
There is a 28-day educational element (study days) covering both hospital and community practice which are usually held on a Tuesday. There are 2 days (1 day per 6-month rotation period) allocated for self-directed learning.
Cardiff boasts a wide range of cultural and international sporting opportunities and is a lively, elegant city catering for all tastes. Cardiff is home to the Principality Stadium and many legislative buildings. It is a city with both heritage and ambition and benefits from excellent road, rail, and airport links.
