Healthcare Science Service Transformation Fellowship
Empowering Improvement in Healthcare Science Across Wales
Funded by the Healthcare Science Programme, the Healthcare Science Service Transformation Fellowship offers up to £3,500 to support professionals from any discipline within Healthcare Science in Wales.
This unique opportunity enables fellows to visit departments or centres of excellence outside Wales to gain new skills, insights, and exemplary practices—bringing transformative ideas back to improve services locally.

The fellowship has evolved to better support service transformation and innovation across NHS Wales. We’re excited to open applications for the next cohort of fellows who will help shape the future of healthcare science.

Who Can Apply?
Any NHS Wales employee working within a Healthcare Science profession is eligible.
We particularly encourage applications from individuals who have:
· Led or contributed to large-scale or national projects
· Been involved in NHS Wales Performance and Improvement initiatives or those supported by the Bevan Commission

· Refer to the Fellowship Handbook to ensure all sections are completed thoroughly
· Download and submit the Service Lead Approval Letter alongside your application
