At Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), we’re not just supporting the system – we’re helping to lead it.
As the national body for workforce planning, education and training, we’re dedicated to developing a skilled, compassionate and sustainable healthcare workforce for Wales. Working closely with health boards, universities, Welsh Government and partners across the system, we make sure the right people are equipped with the right skills, in the right roles, at the right time.

We’re proud to celebrate the achievements of the first cohort of learners completing HEIW’s Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Photography, the first of its kind in Wales.

- Genomics Literacy Week is here!

- Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest global threats we face. We all have a role in acting now to slow the spread and keep antibiotics working.
