At HEIW we plan, commission, deliver and quality manage undergraduate and postgraduate education and training across various health professions. We also support the implementation of Work Based Learning and apprenticeships to widen access to NHS careers.

👉 We are leading a project to identify what makes an attractive job offer for newly qualified pharmacists. The findings will be used to create an evidence base which will be shared with employers to support them in developing rewarding job offers in Wales.

👉 We were delighted to launch the first ever Strategic Nursing Workforce Plan for Wales at the HEIW Nursing Workforce Conference on 17 March 2025. This plan aims to ensure a sustainable, well-educated, motivated and supported nursing workforce for NHS Wales.
