General practice (GP)
GP training in Wales consistently receives excellent feedback in annual General Medical Council (GMC) trainee surveys in terms of overall satisfaction with training and the quality of clinical and educational supervision.
As part of the NHS Wales recruitment campaign 'This is Wales - TrainWorkLive', doctors training in Wales are part of a high quality specialty training programme and will receive excellent ongoing support. Currently, doctors who begin the first post of their GP training programme in Wales from 2017 onwards:
- in certain areas, will be eligible for a £20,000 incentive.
