We are recruiting a number of lay representatives to support the quality management of medical and dental training and ensure the voice of service users is heard and to ensure externality in our processes in the training of healthcare professionals.
As a lay representative you would be involved in the recruitment of doctors and dentists to training programmes, and contribute to the teams responsible for assessing their progress through training.
You should not have a clinical background or background in the health professions and you should not be working for the NHS at the time of application or have done so within the last two years.
Closing date 18 October 2024
The post offers approximately ten days work per year and is to be appointed for a one year period initially.
Most events take place virtually but a small proportion are in-person and you would need the ability to travel to these but the work is flexible.
Payment is made per whole day at a rate of £150 or per half day at a rate of £75 per event. Reasonable travel and subsistence costs will also be paid.
Further information for existing lay representatives can be found on the information for existing lay representatives page.
