Quality Improvement Skills Training (QIST)

The Quality Improvement Skills Training (QIST) programme gives healthcare professionals the knowledge and practical skills to make real time changes. These changes can enhance health services and improve the learning environment.

The programme supports a range of e-learning, virtual and face-to-face Quality Improvement (QI) training opportunities and resources. To support your success, the programme content is mapped against your individual requirements of the relevant training curricula.

This training is delivered in partnership with Improvement Cymru to deliver a unique QI training programme for Wales.

We offer training to resident doctors, pharmacists and dentists and some HEIW specific programmes.

The training we provide is focused on supporting defined curriculum requirements for specific specialties and professions and content is mapped against individual requirements of the relevant training curricula. Courses and workshops we offer are restricted to ensure that those requirements are met.

QIST for Trainers

We also provide training for Trainers and Educational Supervisors so they can support their trainees in their QI journey - find out more here.

Soon we’ll be using the Y Ty Dysgu platform for all of our courses, so we recommend that you register at your earliest convenience. A step-by-step guide on how to do this can be found here.
