Nirmal is a consultant working in Emergency Medicine at the Grange University Hospital, Cwmbran. Regionally he is the Quality Improvement Lead for ACCS and Emergency Medicine residents in Wales. Nationally he is a Quality Assurance and Improvement (QA&I) committee member at the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM). His role with the RCEM includes being part of the previously run ‘Pain in children’ Quality Improvement Project (QIP) and lead for the current ‘Mental health and self-harm’ QIP. He joined the HEIW Quality Improvement Team as a tutor in 2024.
