Director of Quality Management, Health Education and Improvement Wales

Malcolm was a consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board between 2000 and 2023. He has always had an interest in education and after roles as Faculty Lead, Paediatric Professional Support Unit Lead and STC member, he joined the Medical Deanery as an Associate Dean for Quality in 2017, prior to its incorporation into HEIW in 2018. He has progressed in that role, becoming Director of Quality Management and a part of the Dean’s Senior Management Team in December 2019. He undertakes work for the GMC as an Enhanced Monitoring Associate and is also currently Deputy Officer for Wales for the RCPCH.
