Caroline is a full time anaesthesia consultant in cardiothoracic surgery and intensive care. She works for HEIW as Deputy Director for Secondary Care, having oversight of 11 specialty schools. This role covers workforce planning and delivery and commissioning of education, to trainee progression and ARCPs. Caroline’s national roles include previous Flexible Training Lead for the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) and past Chair of the RCoA Recruitment Committee. She is currently the national Clinical Lead for Anaemia for NHS Wales. She is also the proud parent of 3 twenty plus children and 4 beagles.
