By signing up to the All-Wales Medical Trainer Agreement (Secondary Care and Undergraduate Education) trainers make a commitment to ensuring the provision of high quality education and training, ultimately leading to improved patient safety and enhanced quality of patient care. In doing so, trainers must ensure supervision appropriate to the competence and experience of their resident doctor(s). They should also contribute to the delivery of an appropriate induction for new resident doctors in order to support a smooth transition into their new working environment.
