Welsh Clinical Leadership Fellowship 2025/26 Launches

Published 22/10/2025

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is proud to welcome the 2025/26 cohort of Welsh Clinical Leadership Fellows as they begin their Fellowship year.

The Fellowship brings together a vibrant, multidisciplinary community of professionals who are passionate about driving innovation, improving patient care, and shaping the future of clinical leadership across Wales.

This year marks another exciting chapter for the programme, which continues to grow and evolve. Fellows will have the opportunity to engage with the wider NHS landscape, influence positive change, and develop the skills needed to become confident, capable leaders.

Throughout the year, Fellows will take part in a range of learning and development opportunities, from shadowing senior leaders to attending key meetings and building professional networks across organisations. These experiences are invaluable in preparing Fellows to lead with vision and confidence.

HEIW will continue to provide dedicated support to both Fellows and supervisors to ensure the programme is a rewarding and impactful experience for all involved.

Dr Ian Collings, Director of Medic Professional Support and Development said:
“We’re delighted to welcome our new Fellows and their supervisors. The Fellowship is a unique and transformative experience, designed to challenge, inspire and support the development of Wales’ future healthcare leaders. We look forward to seeing the impact this year’s cohort will make.”

We wish our new Fellows every success and look forward to working with them as they embark on this exciting journey.
