Last week, our Deputy Director of Postgraduate Secondary Care, Dr Caroline Evans, who is also a Consultant Cardiothoracic Anaesthetist at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, received a President’s commendation from the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) at their National College Tutors meeting.
The President’s commendation was awarded in recognition of her outstanding work and sustained commitment in her adjacent roles as the Bernard Johnson Advisor for Less than Full Time Training within the RCoA, and Chair of the RCoA Recruitment Committee.
After working on the Committee for eight years, Caroline was recently appointment as Chair, where she will continue to provide support to the anaesthetics recruitment process across the UK.
Caroline said, “I feel honoured to be commended by the Royal College of Anaesthetists President for my long-standing commitment to these national roles, which I fully enjoy doing. I feel very grateful for the opportunities and have learned so much in these leadership positions, and would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes”.
