👉 We’re looking forward to our next SAS Doctors and Dentists conference commencing with half day of workshops on Tues 1 July, followed by a full day’s conference on Weds 2 July in Llandudno, North Wales.

👉 GatewayC resources, introduced by HEIW following partnership working with the Wales Cancer Network and Christie NHS Foundation Trust, are designed by the NHS to support primary care professionals. They aim to improve cancer outcomes by facilitating earlier and faster cancer diagnosis that improves patient experience.

👉 Brogan Cabraal joined us on secondment from Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. With several achievements including the launch of the Healthcare Science Research Strategy, she has made a big impact with her work at HEIW.

Workforce strategy, planning and insights
👉 Our nursing conference featured some incredible speakers who truly brought the themes of our Strategic Nursing Workforce Plan (SNWP) to life. This is the first plan of its kind, developed in response to the needs of nearly 40,000 nurses working across NHS Wales and launched at the conference. With a collaborative, all-Wales focus, this plan is set to grow, transform, and support the nursing workforce, ensuring that it is equipped to meet the evolving healthcare demands of the Welsh population.
