At Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), we play a central role in shaping a modern, resilient healthcare workforce for Wales. This month, we were delighted to help mark the success of more than 50 healthcare support workers from Betsi Cadwaladr who have recently completed the Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Healthcare Practice. Read more

HEIW continues to support high-quality, safe and accessible simulation training for the health and care workforce. From our QI-based Simulation Framework to our growing Faculty Development Programme and bilingual online resources, we’re helping teams learn, innovate and improve patient care. Read more

This month, the Boards of HEIW and Gofal Cymdeithasol Cymru / Social Care Wales came together to share updates and talk about the challenges and opportunities affecting health and social care in Wales. Was very productive!

We are proud to unveil HALI – the Healthcare AI Learning Interface, a ground breaking AI chatbot mentor designed to build confidence, knowledge and digital capability across NHS Wales. Read more

We’re proud to support the Comisiynydd y Gymraeg Welsh Language Commissioner’s Defnyddia Dy Gymraeg (Use Your Welsh) annual campaign, which celebrates Welsh-language services across Wales and encourages Welsh speakers to use the language.  Read more
