We are delighted that Elen Jones will be joining Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) in the Autumn as Pharmacy Dean.

The HEIW Pharmacy Dean is an important leadership role at the heart of healthcare education and workforce transformation in Wales and will focus on strategic innovation, system-wide collaboration, and measurable impact, shaping the future of pharmacy education, policy, and practice, not just in Wales, but across the UK. 

Elen is currently Director for Pharmacy across Great Britain at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society having previously been Director for Wales and Policy and Practice Lead she said "I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Health Education and Improvement Wales at such a transformative time for healthcare. With pharmacy evolving rapidly, particularly through the expansion of prescribing rights for pharmacists and the growing role of pharmacy technicians, I’m excited to help shape the future of our workforce. I’m equally passionate about contributing to the broader HEIW mission, working collaboratively across professions to support education, training and workforce development that meets the needs of patients and services across Wales. It’s a real privilege to be part of a team so committed to excellence and innovation in healthcare.”
