Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) have been shortlisted in the NHS Welsh Sustainability Awards!

We are delighted to announce that HEIW have been shortlisted for seven awards in the NHS Welsh Sustainability Awards this year.

We have been shortlisted in 4 categories and would like to thank the staff who have taken the time to prepare the nominations and wish them lots of luck on the night.

The Award nominations are:

· For the Globally Responsible Wales Award: AHPs delivering Sustainable Healthcare (Mark Brand)

· For the Cohesive Communities Wales Award: NHS Wales Climate Smart Community (Owain Vivian)

· For the 'Spread & Scale' award: Pharma-See (Geraint Jones)

And four nominations for the Prosperous Wales Award, which incorporates skills and education:

· ‘NHS Wales Climate Smart Conversations’ podcast series (Kathryn Speedy)

· Engagement Matrix for dental teams in Wales (Anne Walker/Sue Stokes)

· Dental Sustainability Events Checklist (Lynne O’Sullivan)

· NHS Wales Climate Smart Champions (Justine Cooper)

 

Speaking following the shortlisting announcement, Chief Executive of HEIW, Alex Howells, said…“The winners of these awards will have the opportunity to share their learning on national fora with Welsh Government providing expert support to explore the potential for a program of national rollout”.

“I am delighted to see that our work is being recognised so widely and I wish the teams the very best of luck for the announcement of the winners.”

The Welsh Sustainability Conference takes place on Thursday 13 June 2024, 9.30am to 4.00pm, followed by the awards celebration at the Vale Resort, Hensol, CF72 8JY.
