Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) are pleased to announce that this year’s annual Clinical Scientist Trainee (STP) Recruitment Programme is now open.
The STP is a three-year, full-time graduate-entry training programme which consists of work-based and academic learning. Trainees will be employed by an NHS organisation for the duration of their training and receive a salary. It also includes a specifically commissioned and accredited master’s degree in their chosen area.
Workplace training will be undertaken in a range of settings during the first year, before specialising in the trainee’s area of choice in the last two years of training.

Please note, due to available funding and capacity within individual Health Boards and Trusts, not all specialities will be recruiting this year. Those which are recruiting can be found in the list above.
Applications will close on 11 March 2021. Applicants can apply for up to two posts only and all applications will undergo a shortlisting process.
Interviews will commence from 12 April 2021 with successful applicants invited to attend a remote panel interview.
