AHPs launch 'Do They Know It's Rehab' campaign

From the 5th to the 16th December the AHP and Healthcare Science team are releasing video and blog content to raise awareness of work carried out within their professions.

We want to showcase the hard work within Rehabilitation and Phillippa Lee, raises the importance of the Occupational Therapy service within Hywel Dda UHB and the impacts on patients’ goals!

Day 4 AM - Jenny Blackhouse

Meet Jenny Blackhouse, a Dietician in Cardiff and the Vale UHB Nutrition and Dietetics department.

Day 4 PM - Nicola Perry-Gower

Have you ever thought about the Values and the Future of Rehabilitation? Nicola Perry-Gower, working in Pulmonary Rehabilitation, at Swansea Bay UHB, talks to us about the key values that AHP/and or Healthcare Scientists bring to Rehabilitation.

Ross Nowell, working in Aneurin Bevan UHB as a Physiotherapist shares his experiences of working on the inpatient rehabilitation community wards.

Day 6 - Amy Best

Meet Amy Best, an Occupational Therapist working in Cardiff & Vale.

Amy has kindly taken some time to share her experiences as an Occupational Therapist working within A&E and the Short Stay Unit for Older Persons.

Day 7 - James Needham

Say hello to James Needham, a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist working in a pain management service in Betsi Cadwaladr UHB. James talks about his role in Rehabiltation, which is to assist people who live with persistent pain and coaching them to achieve their goals.

Day 8 - Seren Hughs

Meet Seren Hughes, an Occupational Therapist working in Hywel Dda UHB.

Seren has kindly taken some time to share her experiences as an Occupational Therapist working within the Community Neuro-rehabilitation service in Carmarthenshire. 

Day 9 - Georgina Hooper

To close the “Do They Know It’s Rehab” campaign, we would like to introduce Georgina Hooper, who works as a Physiotherapist and Allied Health Professional for Prepare Well Orthopaedics in Cardiff and Vale UHB. Georgina talks about her role and the importance of Rehabilitation.
