HEIW’s Primary Care Deanery brings together expertise in GP specialty training, professional support, and workforce planning, education and development.
We provide national leadership and coordination to help primary and community care services develop a skilled, sustainable and adaptable workforce. Working with health boards, Primary Care Academies and partners across Wales, we connect national priorities with local workforce development and delivery. This includes established professional education and support, alongside multi-professional approaches that respond to changing population and service needs.
Working with colleagues in HEIW and across the system, we bring together national coordination, local intelligence and professional expertise to support workforce development across Wales.
