Student Streamlining is the all-Wales process that matches final year nursing, midwifery and Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) students to appropriate Band 5 roles across NHS Wales.

Student Streamlining is a nationally coordinated process run across NHS Wales to support a fair and transparent approach to matching eligible newly qualified students to available Band 5 roles.
NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) manages the Student Streamlining Scheme, including the application process, matching and student related FAQs.
Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) commissions the vast majority of healthcare education for NHS Wales. It supports the programme by working with partners across Wales to help ensure streamlining communications are clear, consistent and student focused.
NHS Wales Health Boards and Trusts are the employers and determine the number of roles available based on service need and workforce planning requirements.
