Oral and maxillofacial

HEIW covers South and North Wales for training in OMFS.

There are currently 9 training posts covering South Wales and 2 training posts covering North Wales (North Wales is part of the HEE NW rotation).

The training programme covers the Specialty Curriculum including Trauma, Head and Neck Cancer, Orthognathic Surgery, Salivary Gland Disease, Skin Cancer, Cleft Surgery, Dentoalveolar Surgery and aspects of TMJ Surgery.

The training is delivered in the following 5 Health Boards:

Aneurin Bevan UHB	The Grange Hospital, Cwmbran and The Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport
Betsi Cadwaladr UHB	Glan Clwyd Hospital, Rhyl and rotate into the HEE NW Deanery rotation
Cardiff and Vale UHB	University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff
Cwm Taf UHB	Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil and Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant
Swansea Bay UHB	Morriston Hospital, Swansea and Singleton Hospital, Swansea (currently also attend Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend)
