Assistant Psychologist

Assistant psychologists undertake a variety of roles supporting and enhancing professional psychological care, providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions. They also work with carers, relatives and others involved in a person’s care. Assistant psychologists receive ongoing supervision by a qualified psychologist aimed at encouraging self-reflection and developing professional knowledge and skills. They usually work across NHS psychology services including with people of all ages such as older adults, perinatal infant mental health service or in organisations and services that support individuals with additional needs.
