Health Education and Improve Wales recognises that refugee doctors have particular challenges to face as International Medical Graduates (IMG) in the UK.
The British Medical Association (BMA) provides regularly updated information for refugee doctors wanting to re-qualify in the UK. They have established the Refugee Doctor Initiative to provide a free package of benefits for refugee doctors who are working towards GMC registration.

CARA’s UK Programme provides assistance to enable persecuted academics residing in the UK (as asylum seekers, refugees, international students etc.) to return to academia or an allied profession at a level commensurate with their skills and experience.
