The undergraduate Practitioner Training Programme leads to an approved and accredited BSc honours degree in healthcare science, which leads to registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). The degrees fall under one of the five themes of healthcare science:
Learning is delivered through an integrated approach, combining academic learning and workplace-based training. This includes 50 weeks of workplace-based training in the NHS over three years, with a broad scientific training in the first two years, followed by specialisation in year 2 or 3.
