Aims of WDTFT Training

• To introduce the Foundation Therapist to General Dental Practice
• To use reflective learning to identify areas of strength or weakness
• To provide both accessibility to, and provision of, quality primary and continuing dental care
• To stimulate further study
• To gain experience and understanding of the concept of Quality Improvement in Practice, leading to enhanced patient care

The overall aim of WDTFT training is to prepare the Foundation Therapist to be able to practise in a General Dental Practice environment.
