In Wales, one in 16 people aged 65+ and one in six aged 80+ are affected by dementia. There are currently over 40,000 people in Wales living with dementia and this is set to rise by 30 per cent over the next 10 years. However, despite this, there is very little research exploring the efficacy of psychological therapies for this service user group.
