Helen is a Consultant Physician specialising in Diabetes and Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, where she has worked for the last 19 years. Having held a number of lead roles in Quality & Patient Safety, Innovation and Improvement within the Health Board for many years and the Clinical Lead for the multi-disciplinary Quality Improvement (QI) teams, she is also the Associate Medical Director for Improvement CTM. She has a distinction in Clinical Leadership (level 7), a pCert in Human Factors and Ergonomics (level 7), and is an Improvement Advisor for Improvement Cymru (IC) and Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). She is also a Clinical Lead for IC within the Quality, Safety and Improvement (QS&I) team of the NHS Executive and a Quality Improvement Skills Faculty Tutor for HEIW.
