What to expect on a nursing course
Gain significant, hands-on, supervised clinical experience and learn from experienced professionals while on the course. You'll experience what life will be like after you qualify. This experience will take the form of work placements in healthcare settings to develop your clinical and communication skills. Placements will vary and you’ll have the chance to work on hospital wards, in GP surgeries, and more.
Registering as a nurse is just one step, from there you can navigate a career in any field of nursing that interests you. With plenty of opportunities in continuing professional development (CPD), your career is sure to be as varied as you wish.
Return to nursing
If you were a qualified nurse previously, and would like to get back into nursing, a practice-based course is available. This six-month course will refresh your skills and knowledge. You can do this at either Bangor, Cardiff, Swansea, South Wales or Wrexham universities.
