The Scientist Training Programme (STP) is a three-year graduate-entry scheme that combines work-based training and academic learning. Upon completion, participants are equipped for senior scientist positions within the NHS and can gain HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist.
In Wales, the programme is funded by Welsh Government and managed by Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), in partnership with NHS Wales organisations and the National School of Healthcare Science (NSHCS).
