Post-registration foundation pharmacist training programme

This programme is for early career pharmacists (up to 24 months qualified) and offers an opportunity to develop knowledge, skills, and behaviours to confidently practice in any sector, at a generalist post-registration foundation level.

You will achieve 80 postgraduate (PG) credits, an Independent Prescribing (IP) practice certificate from Cardiff University, and a Royal Pharmaceutical Society post-registration foundation credential. Upon completion, additional PG credits can be undertaken to achieve a diploma award.

The programme provides dedicated protected time in practice with support from an educational supervisor, a practice supervisor, and a designated prescribing practitioner.

Employers within Wales are allocated posts for this programme to support the development of their early career pharmacist registrants.
