Children's Wellbeing Practitioner

Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) assess and support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems. CWPs provide person centred assessment, using a range of low intensity evidence-based psychological interventions based on cognitive behavioural therapy and self-guided help. Aiming to help children and young people in the self-management of their recovery and where appropriate referring those with more complex problems for the right mental health support and signposting to appropriate mental health and community services. Interventions can either be on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
