Dawn is a passionate advocate for public services and the significant opportunities to be gained for staff, patients and service delivery with the ambition set out by HEIW.
With a robust leadership background spanning over a decade across the third sector, not for profit and charitable organisations, Dawn has held diverse roles including Executive, Chair and Vice-Chair. Dawn currently serves as Vice Chair at Brynawel a charitable organisation dedicated to alcohol and addiction recovery with her role being instrumental in shaping the charity’s strategic direction.
Dawn is also a Non-Executive Director at Hafod Housing, Care & Support, where her leadership in transition change initiatives has significantly enhanced effectiveness and efficiency. Currently the responsible individual at Concepta Plc she has developed the governance framework and overseen the healthcare operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality management, client excellence and leadership. Dawn has championed equality and diversity and wellbeing initiatives within the organisation and has led the initiation of a menopause specialist clinic.
Dawn’s professional narrative also includes a tenure as Chair of Remuneration, Appointments and Governance for Hafod, a role she has recently stepped down from after significantly influencing strategies for governance, board membership, people, and strategic decisions.
Prior to this, Dawn has held several senior roles, including Chief Operating Officer, Operations Director and Head of Operations and Client Services. Across these positions, she consistently placed the customer at the heart of strategy and operations, showcasing her dedication to creating inclusive, transparent environments.
