Lay Representative applications now open

We are recruiting for a number of lay representatives to support the quality management of medical and dental training and to ensure the voice of service users is heard.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you:

• don’t work in healthcare
• value equality, diversity, and inclusion
• want to support the training of our future NHS workforce.

Applications are open until 18 October 2024.

As a Lay Representative you will:

• support the quality management of medical and dental training
• ensure the voice of service users is heard
• ensure externality of processes in the training of health care professionals
• be involved in the recruitment of doctors and dentists to training programmes, and contribute to the teams responsible for assessing their progress

To be eligible to apply, you should not have a clinical background in the health profession or be working for the NHS. This post offers approximately ten working days per year.
