HEIW sponsors leadership and transformation awards

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) are proud to be sponsoring two categories at the Advancing Healthcare Welsh Awards (AHA) 2021.

The AHAs provide an opportunity to identify and celebrate the important and innovative work of healthcare scientists and allied health professionals (AHP) across Wales.

The first award HEIW is sponsoring, for leadership and change management, seeks to recognise inspirational leaders who have empowered and transformed workforce wellbeing and engagement by demonstrating positive changes in staff. The second, for outstanding student project which helps Wales move forward together, seeks to recognise a project by a healthcare science or AHP student (undergraduate or masters) which has the potential to make a real difference to the way services are delivered.

Interim Director of Nursing, Angela Parry said, “Healthcare Scientists and Allied Health Professionals are a cornerstone of health and social care in Wales.

“We are delighted to sponsor these two awards which showcase the important and invaluable contribution they make day in, day out to the people of Wales.”

Submissions for entries are now open and will close on Friday, 10 September 2021. Winners will be announced at the virtual awards ceremony taking place on Friday, 26 November 2021.
