Campaign to raise awareness of recruitment opportunities in Urgent Primary Care in Wales

A campaign has launched this week to give medical professionals information about working in Urgent Primary Care in Wales. The site promotes the benefits, tackles the myths, and advertises current vacancies.

The aim of the campaign is to attract more GPs, nurses and other health professionals (both clinical and non-clinical) from across Wales into Urgent Primary Care. The website includes case studies from colleagues who have talked about why they chose to work in Urgent Primary Care and offers easy to access information and guidance.

Dr Alice Groves, Clinical Director Out of Hours at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board said,

“This campaign is aimed at raising awareness of the variety of roles in urgent primary care (out of hours) and encouraging people to think about hopefully joining us.

“Urgent primary care is a great place to work as I work with a brilliant multidisciplinary team of people, working flexible hours to suit my home life. It also gives me lots of opportunities to learn new skills and further my career”.

The website will also provide information and resources to support career development and ongoing training.
